The California Dairy Quality Assurance (CDQA) Program is a voluntary partnership between dairy producers, government agencies and academia to promote the health of consumers, the health of the environment and the health and welfare of dairy animals.
A large proportion of the program’s resources is dedicated to assisting dairy producers like you in understanding and complying with the rules and regulations governing the industry, some of the toughest in the nation.
Focusing on the components of public health (farm security and food safety), animal health and welfare, and environmental stewardship, the CDQA program provides education workshops and assistance for dairy producers. The CDQAP also provides third-party certification in Environmental Stewardship through its on-farm evaluation/certification program.
Storm Water Discharge Monitoring Stressed by CDQAP The CDQAP staff reminds dairy producers of the importance of sampling and reporting off-site discharges to surface water of storm water and tail water during the current heavy rain storms.
